Port Seton is a popular coastal town located on the Forth Coast around 12 miles east of Edinburgh. Traditionally a fishing village its beautiful historic harbour, built in 1656 by the 11th Lord Seton, is still very much a working harbour. The town benefits from excellent local amenities, including shops, a primary school with secondary schooling at Prestonpans and a new Community Centre. The surrounding area offers wonderful sandy beaches, coastal walks and golf on one of the many golf courses that the beautiful East Lothian countryside has to offer. The retail and leisure centre at Kinnaird Park is only a short drive away. Ideally situated for the commuter, Cockenzie is only 30 minutes from Edinburgh by car with easy access to the A1 and City by-pass. The railway station at Prestonpans is a few minutes’ drive away and there is also a regular bus service to the city centre.
