“Hillview”, is a large Victorian non-smoking house that is an HMO for post-graduate students. It is 1.33 miles (2K.) from King’s Buildings.
There are 9 bedrooms arranged over 3 floors and each room has a sink, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, a desk and chair, a double bed. Eight of the rooms have been refurbished with new furniture and new carpets during the last 3 years. There are phone points and TV aerial points in most rooms. Internet access is available in the house.
In addition to the bedrooms there are two kitchens (ground floor and top floor), three bathrooms (one on each floor plus one en suite to Room 3) and a very spacious lounge on the ground floor equipped with TV, HI-FI, sofas and dining table where students congregate and socialise. To the back of the house, also on the ground floor, is a large laundry room with an industrial sized washing machine, a separate dryer, iron and ironing board, and a large pulley. There are outside drying facilities in the garden also. At the back of the laundry is a fridge freezer room with 3 fridge freezers, allowing a shelf in both a fridge and a freezer for each student. (There is an additional fridge in one of the 2 kitchens).
Hillview is equi-distant from both Kings Buildings and George Square, being opposite the Commonwealth Pool. There are great local amenities all within walking distance. Rent includes the cost of the cleaner who cleans the communal areas of kitchens and bathrooms once a week, and a gardener.
A deposit of one month's rent plus £100, is required and the rent is payable one month in advance.
