The flat is on the 1st floor. It is large, bright and spaciuous with above standard sized double bedrooms. The flat is fully furbished and your room will be supplied with a bed, desks, lamps, clothes and belonging storages. It over looks a very quiet road and opposite is a spectacular church. All the windows in the flat are double glazed so it keeps the heat in well during the winter. The flat is well decoratated and has all the modern fitments including freeview satalite tv and wireless internet. The kitchen is very large in warm and fully fitted and overlooks a gorgeous garden downstairs. The flat has two bathrooms one with a bath and a shower, sink and toilet and the other with an electric shower plus a toilet so there is no waiting around for a free bathroom in the early morning! The surrounding area is fantastic with a large array of local amneties. The area around the flat is free parking for cars which is extremely handy if you have a car or have friends that are coming to visit because parking in central Edinburgh is a nightmare. Just down stairs left of the front door is a pharmacy. A two mintue walk north is a small supermarket and less than a mintute walk is a butchers. There are also hairdressers, restaurants and cafes along the same road and within a few mintutes walk. On the same road heading south towards the Kings Buildings Campus are a fruit and vegtable shop, bakery and a bank. Two streets over from Mayfield road is a large Sainsbury's superstore which is a fantastic place to do food shopping as its great value and great quality.
From the flat, the University of Edinburgh Kings buildings campus is only a 5 minute walk south and is also in the same road as the flat itself. To get the the central UoE Campus, it is a 5 to 10 mintue walk north again on the very same road. So for a student this really is an ideal location.
The flat mates are all very nice and friendly people and are very welcoming to new people. there will be three other flat mates. They are quiet and subdued and very dedicated to their university work. We all like to keep the flat very nice and clean so it is a pleasant and healthy place to live.
