The MD, Graeme McEwan, graduated from Strathclyde Business School and over years has held senior positions in renowned residential lettings and property management companies. His Glasgow based letting agency<\/a>, Be-Rented<\/a>, once forming part of the Be-Home Group incorporating the property factoring firm Be-Factored & Be-Maintained which were sold in 2016, is now part of the Brick-Sand-Mortar business.<\/p>\n

Property investment<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Investment in the residential property market, which is a focal point of the company, is a process that involves transforming a property in stages: re-thinking, remodelling, restyling or refining, in order to maximise profits.<\/p>\n

Graeme McEwan said: \u201cWhat we are seeing is a continual demand for investment opportunities in property as people can relate to it. As interest rates continue to offer no meaningful returns and pensions or other forms of long-term investment become less trustworthy, have unresolved legacy issues from the last financial crisis or are poor performing, demand for self-managed investment is soaring.\u201d<\/p>\n

Serviced apartments growing market<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Serviced apartments are taking preference over hotels and the demand from individuals and organisations outstrips the supply. According to a report from Savills and the Association of Serviced Apartment Providers (ASAP), some operators are to increase the number of units by 122.3 % nationwide between 2016 and 2017 and the whole sector is to grow by 8.4%, yet not enough to cover the shortage.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe recently acquired a building that required total refurbishment. We also looked at how we could create more revenue than the usual assured tenancy agreement and have had a roaring success with serviced apartments, which require a slightly different refurbishment strategy.
