Last night, the residential property market came together to recognise those that have performed outstandingly in the industry.\u00a0Despite the challenges that have been thrown at every company this year by the pandemic, KD Media ensured that the 2020 Scottish Home Awards took place so that the excellence in this market could still be acknowledged.<\/p>\n

Live from the ballroom of Glasgow\u2019s DoubleTree by Hilton, Scottish comedian, Des Clarke, hosted the digital ceremony which saw 18 housebuilding companies crowned with awards, following a record year of entries involving 109 businesses.<\/p>\n

Citylets PR Manager, Gillian Semmler, stated: \u201cIt was tremendous to experience the support and encouragement towards each other, the finalists and the winners, all within the online room last night. As hundreds of us gathered in front of our screens, we all embraced the alternative format to this year\u2019s awards.\u201d<\/p>\n

Citylets have sponsored the category of \u2018Residential Letting Team of the Year\u2019 for three years now. 2020 saw a record number of entries, and due to the high level of competition, two award places were announced for the first time. Edinburgh based Umega Lettings<\/a> won the award for a third time and Glasgow based Western Lettings<\/a> received a highly commended.<\/p>\n

Andy Whitmey, Founding Director of Umega Lettings commented: \u201cWow, we are thrilled to have won this award and are so, so grateful for all the lovely feedback from others that attended the virtual awards. It was such a strong list of finalists, all delivering a high quality lettings service so we are over the moon to win the award. We\u2019re also really chuffed for Western Lettings for their Special Commendation as they do a fantastic job through in the West. I think it\u2019ll take a few days to properly sink in after the surreal circumstances of winning an award in the living room but at the moment I\u2019m overwhelmed with a feeling of pride for our brilliant team and I\u2019m extremely grateful to Citylets, KD Media, the judging panel and the other finalists for their support and kind words.\u201d<\/p>\n

Founder of Western Lettings, Jack Gallagher, said: “Our team really enjoyed the virtual awards ceremony, so many thanks to all at KD Media for pulling it off.\u00a0 We were all\u00a0very pleased to receive the ‘highly commended’ award with such a star-studded short-list.”<\/p>\n
