Mark Hastie, Manager of Persevere Developments Ltd (PDL), joins host Gillian Semmler for episode 45<\/a> of Lets Talk to talk about the group\u2019s (who are a subsidiary of Port of Leith Housing Association<\/a>) mid-market rental (MRM) homes in Edinburgh.<\/p>\n

With over 360 MMR homes spread across 13 locations in Edinburgh, and another 188 MMR homes<\/a> in the pipeline, Mark talks about the developments in detail including their vision which focuses on \u2018community\u2019 and the strategic goals they have in place to support this.<\/p>\n

Mark explains how their housing options ensure people have access to affordable and comfortable places that they can call home and why he supports the phrase that \u2018housing is a right not a privilege\u2019.<\/p>\n

Gillian and Mark also talk about the history of the organisation, why it was set up, PDL\u2019s operating model, as well as topical matters such as how they work towards improving their carbon footprint.<\/p>\n
