Episode 71<\/a> of Lets Talk features the Operations Director of Pinstripe Inventories, Matthew Mackay, talking about the importance of having a meticulous inventory in place at the start of a tenancy to avoid deposit disputes or even an adjudication.<\/p>\n

Matthew talks about his career to date and that of co-founder and director of Pinstripe Inventories, Dominic Bargeton. He also discusses the growth of the company to where it is now with several branches across Scotland.<\/p>\n

Matthew developed a software solution for the company and Lets Talk host, Gillian Semmler, asks him about how technology has changed since Pinstripe started in 2009.<\/p>\n

The podcast also covers the topic of tenancy deposit schemes<\/a>; why they were introduced and how the deposit repayment procedure works, as well as how mid tenancy inspections can help prevent deposit issues at the end of a tenancy.<\/p>\n

Matthew also discusses the recent media coverage on how inventories are set to play a vital role in fire safety within the private rented sector<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Pinstripe team took to the hills last year to fundraise for Water Aid by taking part in the Munro Challenge. It made for a great team building day and Matthew talks about his passion for hillwalking, as well as his talent for landscape painting.<\/p>\n
