Sales Director, Lyndsay Yuille, and Finance and Digital Marketing Manager, Ross Leiper, from Edinburgh\u2019s RentLocally join Citylets\u2019 Gillian Semmler for episode 73<\/a> of Lets Talk.<\/p>\n

Lyndsay chats about the challenging aspects of the current market and describes situations taking place that she hasn\u2019t experienced in 15 years of business. She shares her views on the recent extension of the rent cap and the effects she believes it will have on the private rented sector (PRS).<\/p>\n

Lyndsay also discusses the \u2018rebuttal presumption\u2019 regarding licenses for holiday term lets<\/a> in tenement accommodation and how it has recently been deemed as unlawful.<\/p>\n

Gillian also queries with Lyndsay the issue of landlords reportedly leaving the sector and what her advice would be to property owners who are worried and considering selling.<\/p>\n

Lyndsay talks about the Edinburgh Property Investors Network (PIN) which she hosts on a monthly basis. She describes who it\u2019s suitable for and what attendees can expect to learn from the events.<\/p>\n

Ross Leiper discusses the new marketing strategies he has implemented for RentLocally and the positive impact they have had on the business and their clients. Ross was promoted to Finance Manager last year and also given the role of Digital Marketing Manager, at the young age of 23, and tells of the advantages that this brings to the positions.<\/p>\n

The Edinburgh branch<\/a> of RentLocally has been shortlisted for the 2023 ESTAS Awards and Gillian asks Ross and Lyndsay what this means to the company.<\/p>\n
