This spacious two bedroom apartment is located in the Old Town with Greyfriars Bobby on your door step, a prime location just a five minute walk from the City Centre and the University buildings.

This property comprises of two double bedrooms and a further single bedroom/study, a kitchen with separate living room and a family bathroom. This area boasts many local amenities, including cafes, shops, bars and restaurants. The Royal Mile is a two minute walk away and Princes Street is a five minute walk.

This building is surrounded by a great deal of history, with the building itself being 300 years old. One side of this property looks out over Greyfriars Kirkyard which is central to the history of Old Town Edinburgh. The original city boundry, the Flodden wall ran along one side and many historic events happened in the kirk with many famous names buried in the yard. The legend of Greyfriars Bobby dates back to the 1800's, a story of the loyal Skye Terrier who became known for guarding the grave of his owner John Gray, also known as Auld Jock. Bobby would visit Trails Temperance Coffee House - which was located in the same tenement of this property - every day at the sound of the 1 o'clock gun which is still fired today from Edinburgh Castle. This area has inspired a host of great thinkers and writers, with the Elephant House being just a two minute walk away, where JK Rowling spent her days writing parts of the Harry Potter series. It is said she gained inspiration from the surrounding areas with characters being named after the graves in Greyfriars Kirkyard, Diagon Alley is said to be inspired by Victoria Street and Hogwarts is said to be inspired by Heriots School and Edinburgh Castle. Directly opposite this property is the National Museum of Edinburgh.
