Portgower Place is let and managed by Regent Letting -

Portgower Place is a charming 3 storey, 4/5 bed, family home in a great location overlooking Raeburn Place and the Grange. There are excellent local shops in Stockbridge including Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and a whole host of small independent shops. Princes Street is only 15 minutes’ walk and there are plenty of bus services available to take you across the city. The choice of things to see and do right on the doorstep is brilliant.

Upon entering, you are greeted with a long open hallway full of period detail. From the hall is a wooden staircase leading you upstairs to the 1st and 2nd floors and downstairs to a separate ground floor loo and a back door which opens to a large, shared garden. From the 1st floor hallway there are two large sitting rooms on the right which look out over the rugby ground, a large kitchen with pantry and separate utility room, a large shower room and two large cupboards for storage. Up the stairs, to the second floor, you will find four further double bedrooms, a study/dressing room, a large family bathroom with separate shower and a separate loo.

Portgower would make an ideal home for a young family who wants to live in the centre of town close to all that Stockbridge offers. The flat comes unfurnished and does not have an HMO license.

Stockbridge is one of Edinburgh’s most popular local areas. The Water of Leith flows through Stockbridge and there are very pretty walks along it. The Botanic Gardens and Inverleith Park are a few minutes away and both wonderful for a wander. Stockbridge’s local food shops are famous and highlights include Bower’s the butcher, Armstrong’s the fishmonger, Mellis the cheesemonger and Soderberg the baker. There are brilliant places to eat including Scran and Scallie, Tom Kitchin’s bistro and some great boutiques to browse through. The Stockbridge Sunday market is very popular and sells yummy food and local crafts. Glenogle Baths is the area’s local swimming pool and is right on the doorstep. It is easy to walk up to George Street in around 10-15 minutes and buses in to the center of town are available on the doorstep.
