Student Life in Aberdeen is extremely enjoyable, so it comes as no surprise to hear how popular the city is with those seeking universities and colleges. The largest seat of learning in the city is the University of Aberdeen, an iconic and highly respected establishment which attracts students from across the UK and all over the world. The main campus is at King's College in the centre of the city.

The University of Aberdeen is home to more than 20,000 students, and it's the fifth-oldest university in the UK. It offers a wide range of courses in a number of subjects, and it's home to one of the largest medical campuses in the whole of Europe.

Usually referred to as RGU, Robert Gordon University is smaller, with a student body of more than 15,000. The university's campus is to be found in Garthdee, in the south-west of the city. There are a number of educational disciplines to be studied here, including social work, business management, engineering, health sciences and pharmacy.

It offers courses in three major disciplines: engineering, science and technology, and has a student body of around 7,000.
